Screen Producers Australia and the China Film Producers Association (CFPA) recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding in hopes that future oppurtunities between the two countries can lead to further collaboration and co-productions.

Matthew Deaner , Executive Director of Screen Producers Australia was excited about this venture with China.

“We have much to learn from each other and given our growing trade and cultural ties, screen producers in Australia see great value and opportunity in working more closely with our Chinese colleagues through our industry associations.”

To achieve this, both film bodies have agreed to engage with each by providing information about laws and legislations in each country that relate to the film industry (which will help co-productions run more efficiently) and giving producers a platform to connect with other content creators which includes meetings with the Federation of Film Producers Association.
